Abstract

Annotation The treatment of patients with recurrent warts is the most difficult task for the doctor. The results of treatment of skin warts in children using a combination of radiofrequency scalpel and cryodestruction were evaluated. A randomized controlled trial was conducted using the NRS questionnaires, 109 patients were examined. The largest number of patients were children with plantar warts 40.4%, especially boys, in second place were vulgar warts 33%, flat warts 23.9%. In the social composition, predominantly schoolchildren 65.1%. The comparison group included 44 patients who underwent cryodestruction, and 46 patients underwent radiofrequency coagulation and cryodestruction simultaneously. The combined method of treatment of skin hyperkeratosis in children made it possible to statistically significantly (ȹ2.181) improve the results of treatment by 19% (86.4±5.2) in comparison with cryodestruction of the comparison group (67.4±6.8), due to a decrease in cases of disease recurrence. In general, in terms of the combination of all symptoms in days, on average (5.97-4.4) for 1.5 days, the combined method has an advantage over cryodestruction, in terms of subsiding inflammation and promptly stopping discharge from the wound. The greatest pain in the groups of patients was observed on the first and especially the second day after the operation. The average period of remission after surgery in the main group was 5 months longer than with the method of pure cryodestruction in the comparison group (P0, 024569). The smallest number of residual effects in the form of itching, residual pain and hypo and hyperpigmentation was observed in the group where radio wave surgery was used for removal and immediately cryodestruction.
