DEPENDENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH ON A VARIETY OF FORMS OF PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN JUNIOR COURSES
Abstract
It has been established that first-year college and university students are most susceptible to mental health problems, since this is an important transition from school life to independent student life, and high intensity and the need to make personal decisions do not always lead to balanced actions and stress tolerance. The study aims to understand how psychosocial support can contribute to the relief of depressive states affecting the state of psychological health of undergraduate students. The purpose of the study: the impact of psychosocial support on the psychological health of undergraduate students (1st year). The sample included 107 students (55 girls and 52 boys) who completed 1 and 2 full-time courses in the humanities, natural sciences and technical fields. 1st year – 66 people (61.7%), 2nd year – 41 people (38.3%). The average age was 19.7±1.2. The analysis of the results revealed the existing relationship between social support provided by the university administration, friends, family and psychological problems, and show that there are significantly significant correlations between social support and psychological problems such as depression (p<0.01), anxiety (p<0.01) and stress (p<0.01).

An author should not normally publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in multiple journals or publication venues. Such redundant publication is generally considered to constitute unethical publishing behavior, and if discovered may result in a manuscript under consideration being rejected, or a published article being retracted.
Authors of manuscripts reporting on original research should present an accurate account of the work performed, accompanied by an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the manuscript. The manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. The fabrication of results and the making of fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and may be cause for rejection or retraction of a manuscript or published article.
