DEVELOPING STUDENTS' COORDINATION SKILLS USING BASKETBALL GAME METHODS
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the results of a set of exercises to develop coordination skills in students playing basketball. The study's hypothesis is based on the assumption that the introduction of a specially developed methodology into the training process will not only improve students' physical fitness but also significantly enhance their technical skills in basketball. It is expected that through a targeted approach to training and continuous skill development, students will be able to achieve better results in both individual and team play. Developing students' coordination skills is a key objective of physical education in educational institutions. These skills play a significant role not only in improving athletic performance but also in overall physical development, influencing the development of a healthy motor culture in young people. Analysis of the results of several tests revealed the following data. In the control group, the average time difference was 9.2 and 9.2, which in absolute terms represents a 2-second improvement. Although the changes in the control group were minor, they nevertheless indicate a positive impact of the training process on the results. The results in the experimental group were significantly better. The development dynamics in this group were 13 and 17.8, indicating a 7-second improvement. This 5-second increase compared to the control group confirms the greater effectiveness of the methods used in the experimental group and indicates greater progress in mastering mid-range shooting.
