The impact of yoga on women's health
Abstract
Abstract: This paper is devoted to assessing the impact of yoga classes that optimize the balance of the functional systems of the body on the change in the level of health of women engaged in it.
Objective: to study the impact of yoga on women's health.
Materials and methods: The study involved 96 women aged 32 to 43 years (average age 38.2 ± 4.1), engaged in the gym and not having sports categories. Two groups were formed: the control, which trained 3 times a week in the gym, and the experimental, which trained according to a specially developed technique. In each group - 48 people. In terms of health, both groups were divided into five subgroups. To solve the tasks, we chose the author’s method of training the experimental group and an express assessment of the level of physical health of athletes according to G. Apanasenko
Results and conclusions: Strength exercises in isometric mode, as well as coordination exercises (yoga asanas), contribute to the proper inclusion of motor units in the work, as can be seen from the improvement of the power index in the experimental group, and have a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system and supporting -motor apparatus. The use of static and dynamic breathing exercises (pranayamas) had a beneficial effect on the respiratory system of the subjects. Such health indicators in the experimental group indicate the optimization of the functioning of functional systems during yoga classes and, accordingly, an increase in susceptibility to specific stresses arising during these classes aimed at improving the quality of health.
The beneficial effects of Deepika yoga exercises have been shown to affect the main physiological systems (musculoskeletal, respiratory and cardiovascular systems).
