DEVELOPMENT OF A PROTOCOL FOR TESTING THE COORDINATION ABILITIES OF CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER
Abstract
Introduction. The article discusses the need to solve the problem of diagnosing the main types of coordination abilities of children with autism spectrum disorder and the development of a universal testing protocol that can be applied to a child with any behavioral, intellectual and communicative disabilities.
The aim of the study is to develop, test and improve a universal protocol for testing the coordination abilities of children with ASD, considering the development of their motor sphere, communicative and cognitive characteristics.
Methods and organization of research. The methods of analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, the protocol for testing coordination abilities for children with autism spectrum disorder, pedagogical observation, and the approbation method were used. The developed testing protocol has been tested and improved when testing the coordination abilities of children with ASD of preschool age. Research results and conclusions. At the end of the pedagogical experiment, it was revealed that the developed testing protocol is universal and applicable to children with ASD of different functional levels. The testing protocol may be applicable to middle-aged and older preschool children. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the presented test protocol considers all the main types of coordination abilities and can be applied when testing a child with ASD of any functional level.

An author should not normally publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in multiple journals or publication venues.
