The journal policy includes a mandatory procedure of blind peer review. Preference is given to articles.

The main text should contain structured data consisting of sections:
Articles that are relevant to the subject of the journal and have not previously been published in other publications are accepted for publication.
The editorial staff of the journal accepts research articles and analytical reviews ranging in volume from 16 thousand to 40 thousand characters with spaces (from 8 to 24 sheets of A4 format), including information about the authors, illustrations and references. In exceptional cases, the editorial board accepts for consideration a larger volume of work (up to 1.5–2 pp) if they contain significant and recognized by the scientific community results.
Since there are no restrictions on the amount of the author, then indicate the contribution of each author (CRediT author statement: taxonomy of the participant’s roles (https://www.elsevier.com/authors/journal-authors/policies-and-ethics/credit-author-statement) We offer our structure :. For each author, you can specify several roles in accordance with his contribution:

Requirements for the designation of references to literature in the text
The author is obliged to indicate the sources of all citations, numbers and other information given in the article.
References to the literature in the text are given in parentheses indicating the year of publication and pages: (Smirnov, 2015), or (Smirnov, 2015: 218–219).
To cite a source in a foreign language, the original spelling of the surname is used (Arruda, 2015). If there are more than three authors - (Arruda et al., 2015), (Zdravomyslova et al., 2015) - if less, then so: (Abrams, Hogg, & Marques, 2005) or (Abrams, Hogg and Marques, 2005). If one author has several works, then the years are listed with a comma (Smirnov, 2004, 2014, 2014a). All authors mentioned in the text should be present in the list of references.
Direct quotes are placed in quotation marks, then a range of pages is indicated with the link (Arruda et al., 2015: 218–219).
It is permissible to format links in this way, "As McCreadie and Rice (1999b) noted." If the text is not quoted from the original source, then this is drawn up with the indication of the source: “(ECC Council Decision 89/457 OJ 1989L 224/10, Quoted from Hunt, 2005).” When referring to several sources, they are listed through a semicolon (Ivanov, 2015; Petrov, 2004; Sidorov, 2011).

When forming a bibliographic list, the author must adhere to the following rules:
• the author is responsible for the accuracy of the data given in the bibliographic list;
• links made in violation of the rules will be removed from the list of references.
• Page and endnotes are prohibited.
• - no more than 20% of references to the same author, self-citation.
• References to unpublished works are not allowed.
• If there is a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for the cited source, it should be indicated at the end of the source after the dot in the following form DOI: prefix / suffix (for example: DOI: 10.14258 / izvasu (2014) 1.1-01).

Abbreviations and Symbols. Use only standard abbreviations. Avoid abbreviations in the title and abstract. The full term which an abbreviation stands for should precede its first use in the text unless it is a standard unit of measurement.
Design drawings, charts, graphs
Tables
- All tables should have both numbering and thematic headings, through numbering;
- the tables are typed in Times New Roman font size 11;
- tables are placed within the working field;
- It is advisable not to break the tables into several pages.
Analytical Review
The content and structure of the review publication are defined by GOST 7.23-96 Publications. The structure and design.
Analytical review - a synthesized text that contains summarized information on specific issues or problems. It is based on the use of information obtained from primary sources for a certain period of time as a result of selection, analysis, systematization and logical generalization from a large number of published materials (information, articles, results, conclusions, etc.).
In accordance with GOST 7.23-96, the review contains in a concise form systematized information on the issues under consideration (objects, problems, areas of activity), their status, level and development trends with reasoned critical assessment, conclusions and recommendations.
The main part of the review includes:
- introductory part;
- analytical part;
- conclusions;
- applications.
The introductory part should contain a brief justification for the choice of the topic of the review, the time limits of the analyzed period and the types of documents used, the relationship of the review with previously completed reviews on this topic.
The analytical part should contain information on the actual content of the problem, the main characteristics, analysis and assessment of the problem.
In the analytical part of the review, it is recommended to place in-text links in the form of serial numbers of the list of used information sources, names of authors and (or) main titles of primary documents, years of publication, etc.
Conclusions should contain information on identified new directions, trends and development prospects.
Recommendation: The title and / or annotation, as well as the text of the article, should indicate that it is an analytical review.
NB! An article published in the Reviews / Reviews section of a scientific periodical automatically equates to the Analytical Review category.
To increase the status of AltSU scientific articles, it is recommended that the analytical review include links to publications of AltSU employees in the corresponding scientific field (at least 5–10 references), reflected in the voluminous bibliographic list (at least 20 items).
Note: no more than 25% of self-citations of the total volume of links is allowed.
An example of annotation in the analytical review

The article provides an overview of the key points of discussion of problems of national and regional identity at the annual political science forum "Modern Russia and the World: Development Alternatives." Such forums have been held by the Altai School of Political Studies (ACPI) since 1996. The topics of national and regional identity (as well as the themes of "civilizational choice", "ethno-confessional conflicts", "information wars", "image of the country and region) " and etc.). Based on the content of discussions and articles published over the past ten years in the serial edition of the ACI Diary, the authors identify five main thematic blocks: 1) concepts of national and regional identity: basic approaches; 2) ethnic, national identity and ethnic images; 3) the problem of the formation of "post-Soviet" identities; 4) European identity and local European identities; 5) regional identity (on the examples of the Altai Territory and other regions of Russia). In accordance with this division, an analysis is made of the main points of view expressed by conference participants - scientists from Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Ukraine and Finland, as well as from many cities of Russia (Barnaul, Bryansk, Vladivostok, Vladimir, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Petrozavodsk, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg, Severodvink, Taganrog, Tomsk, Tyumen, Yakutsk, etc.).

Scientific articles that are published additionally outside the main sections of the journal
An author should not normally publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in multiple journals or publication venues. Such redundant publication is generally considered to constitute unethical publishing behavior, and if discovered may result in a manuscript under consideration being rejected, or a published article being retracted.
Authors of manuscripts reporting on original research should present an accurate account of the work performed, accompanied by an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the manuscript. The manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. The fabrication of results and the making of fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and may be cause for rejection or retraction of a manuscript or published article.
