MONITORING THE HEALTH OF THE POPULATION IN THE CONTEXT OF PUBLIC HEALTH
Abstract
The article discusses the need for monitoring the health status of the population interms of making management decisions to reduce the prevalence of causes leading to prematuremortality. In the article were studied the health indicators of the population of Ukraine, as well asdetermined the feasibility of monitoring the health status of the population using indicators. For theimplementation of the tasks, were applied different methods like methods of the systems approach, analytical, as well as the bibliosemantic method. As a result of the analysis, was given the structureof causes of mortality in Ukraine. The most common causes of death were identified. The article alsoshows a comparative description of the causes of death among the urban and rural population ofUkraine and the European region. The findings suggest that the countries of the European regionsthat began to work on solving the problems of premature mortality, achieved certain results. At thesame time, in Ukraine, despite the positive dynamics, the mortality rates of the population remainextremely negative. In addition, there are significant differences in the mortality rate of the urbanand rural population of Ukraine. In conclusion, the idea was put forward that the quantitativeinformation that is obtained as a result of the process of monitoring the health of the population mustfirst of all meet the requirements set, namely: comparability; authenticity; age standardization. Andthe monitoring results themselves should be part of the system of information exchange between thesubjects on which the health of the whole society may depend, which should have a positive impacton the dynamics of mortality among the Ukrainian population.

An author should not normally publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in multiple journals or publication venues. Such redundant publication is generally considered to constitute unethical publishing behavior, and if discovered may result in a manuscript under consideration being rejected, or a published article being retracted.
Authors of manuscripts reporting on original research should present an accurate account of the work performed, accompanied by an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the manuscript. The manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. The fabrication of results and the making of fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and may be cause for rejection or retraction of a manuscript or published article.
