Cultural resources of the Biysk district as a basis for the organization of cultural and educational tourism

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to characterize the cultural resources of the Biysk district and to define them as the basis for organizing a cultural and educational type of tourism. The peculiarity of cultural tourism in the Biysk District of the Altai Territory is acquaintance with various historical, architectural and cultural epochs by visiting architectural monuments, museums and historical routes of this region. On the route, the cultural and educational tour is radial, that is, the beginning and the end occur in one geographical point of stay. The starting and ending points of the route is the city of Barnaul. Type of route: cultural and educational. The length of the route: 512 km. Biysky district has a favorable geographical location and transport accessibility (railway, Smolensky, Solton and Chuysky tracts), flat terrain, from flat to hilly, intersected by waterways. The climate is favorable. Also, the Biysk district has a well-developed socio-economic infrastructure that is able to accommodate all visitors to the city. Architecture, the historical significance of old streets and mansions, the concentration of all objects in one area of the city - this is something that can attract tourists. The leading role belongs to the objects of historical heritage, which are the most attractive and, on this basis, serve as the main means of satisfying the needs of educational and cultural recreation. The tour “Biysk - a big history of a small town” can be interesting for people of different age categories and with different preferences in knowledge, as it gives the opportunity to learn the history of Biysk district and explore its monuments and sights, visiting museums, sightseeing tours, theater and festival. The route of the cultural and educational tour “Biysk - the big history of a small town” passes through the territories of 2 cities and 5 villages (Barnaul, Biysk, Lesnoe, Verkh-Katunskoye village, Polevodka village, Srostki village, Borovoy village ). The climate is sharply continental. Southwesterly winds predominate. The route of the cultural and educational tour “Biysk - the big history of a small town” was developed in order to familiarize with the Biysk district, in order to cover as many of the most interesting places of the region as possible. The further creation and introduction of similar cultural and educational tours not only in the Biysk district, but throughout the Altai Territory as a whole will contribute to familiarizing people with the historical and cultural heritage of our country and our region, as well as increasing the tourist potential of Altai cities and villages.
