The influence of basketball on the execution of GTO tests
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the influence of the game of basketball on the preparation of students to pass the standards of the GTO complex. The pedagogical experiment which purpose is definition of influence of basketball on development of power and speed-power qualities at students on occupations on physical culture at University is carried out. Research methods are theoretical analysis, generalization, comparison, statistical method. The results of the study is to improve the performance of physical qualities of students in the experimental group, in comparison with the control. After the end of the pedagogical research, the students from the experimental group, who were engaged in basketball, significantly surpassed the students from the control group in all the studied indicators. Accordingly, the average group indicators of speed-power and power abilities, which showed the students of the experimental group allowed them to approach the insignia of GTO or get them, unlike students from the control group. Thus, if the physical education to use the game of basketball, the performance of power and speed-power qualities will improve significantly. For the first time the interrelation of occupations by basketball on occupations on physical culture and implementation of control standards was established. The results obtained during the pedagogical experiment show the effectiveness of the game of basketball in physical education classes at the University. The results of the study can be useful for teachers of universities and secondary special educational institutions, which cultivated a system of different sports specializations, including basketball
